Meet the Team

Females, explorers and conservationists. We are an all-female team coming together from different corners of the world to defend one idea; coexistence. Like the matriarchal elephant social structure, we believe that women have a lot to say and contribute to conservation and coexistence. Being an all-female international team allows knowledge, compassion and understanding to pave the way to live in harmony with mother nature.

Anna Sustersic

Founder and Project Coordinator

Born and raised in a beautiful seaside town in Italy, where the Balkan culture married the Mediterranean and Central European ones, I grew up exploring the woods and absorbing their charm and discreet character.

My love for Nature began with my family and continued through literature that made me travel to many places. With a Master degree in Science Communication, I like to narrate Nature using articles, press releases, museum texts, school books and dissemination books. The aim is to tell about biodiversity and its importance, the conflict between man and large carnivores in Europe and the fundamental role our planet’s beauty has in our lives.

“Every day must become an exceptional contribution to a great story.”

Communication and Behavior Change

Passionate about wildlife and wilderness, I believe in using communication, behaviour change and environmental education to reconnect people with nature and preserve this unbelievable home we call Mother Earth.

Born in Barcelona and based in Tanzania, I enjoy camping under the African sky, writing wild stories and taking amateur photography to reach and rewild people’s hearts.

“In the end, we will conserve only what we love; we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.”

Elisabetta Filosi

Educational Activities Coordinator

I am in love with nature and with outdoor life. I love to think that each day brings a new discovery and I treasure every little adventure.

I was born in a big city but my life is now in the Alps where I have the opportunity to further my zoology skills by exploring the woods and climbing mountains. I believe in scientific communication and I work in science education. I love writing about nature and biodiversity and I hope my words can help people to appreciate and understand our beautiful world.

“Keep calm and be crazy, laugh, love and live it up because this is the oldest you’ve been and the youngest you’ll ever be again”

Content Creator

I love climbing, mountaineering and walking in the woods. Every tree and animal trace stimulates my curiosity and my motivation to protect them.

I am convinced that reducing wildlife conflicts with knowledge and communication is feasible and necessary. I have always been a passionate student with a strong interest in environmental issues. I have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and worked to find out how to reduce the environmental impact of human activities. Nowadays, I use my Masters in Science Communication to be involved with educational activities, writings and podcasts.

“The truth is: the natural world is changing. And we are totally dependent on that world. It provides our food, water, and air. It is the most precious thing we have and we need to defend it.”
